Make a Meal Ministry

The Make-A-Meal Ministry was conceived in recognition of the need for both love and physical assistance in times of stress and sorrow connected with deaths and illness, and with the stress and joy of births.

Out of this recognition of need, and desire to help, we borrowed on an age old custom: feed people in need - with food and love. The supplying of three meals by volunteers is a small burden that typically amounts to each volunteer serving one meal every two or three months - depending upon each volunteer's other commitments at the times of need.

Some of the volunteers cook their meals the day they deliver, and some serve from an "always on hand" supply (some of our working people cook-and-freeze for their own needs, so this is a built in way for them to help).

People in need can call the church office to make their need known, and in turn, someone at the office calls me to solicit suppliers from the volunteer list.

If you are willing to supply an occasional meal and love, or if you would like to fill in for me, calling volunteers at time when I am not available, please contact me,  Flynn Hudson by email or telephone.

A guarantee: You will get more back in love from this than you can possibly put into it in work.
