Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030.
A Hands-on Impact on World Hunger
Rise Against Hunger’s meal packaging program coordinates the assembly-line packaging of highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables, and 23 essential vitamins and minerals. These meal packages are shipped around the world to support school feeding programs and crisis relief. The food stores easily, transports quickly and has a shelf-life of two years.
The program was created to give individuals and organizations the opportunity to participate in a hands-on international hunger relief program and to become educated, engaged advocates for the world’s hungry. The events also give volunteers hands-on experience in leadership development, team-building, relationship-building, creative problem-solving, and goal-setting and achievement.
The Worship Room will be transformed into an assembly line to pack meals and prepare them for shipment on Sunday, September 24. This is a family friendly event—children are welcome! The 2:00 pm session is open to all ages. The 5:00 pm session is for UNLEASHED youth.
